Yay! So excited to share with you these amazing photos by Abbey Domond Photograhy of Danica and Dueren’s summer wedding in New Haven!
And…..this wedding is also featured in the pages of The Knot Spring/Summer 2017 magazine! WooHoo!
Not to mention the sweet image of them below landed on the blog of The Huffington Post!
Here are the amazing team of vendors(and their direct link to IG pages) that made it all happen for these two: Instgram
Wedding Coordinator: @viceventsnyc
Custom Decor: @ten23designs
Ceremony Venue: Edgerton Park
Reception Venue: The Country House
First, Let’s Celebrate!! (As you’ll see Danica and Dueren did that well)
“Dreamy” is what comes to mind when I look at Julianne…her dress, her hair piece, her bouquet…. Her and Andrew’s wedding was so soft and full of romance…you have to see for yourself….
Venue: Saltwater Farm Vineyard (where we are PREFERRED)
Caterer: Gourmet Galley, Keri Bell is awesome! They refer us quite often and we are PREFERRED at their venue, Guilford Yacht Club
Photographer: Maggie Conley This was my first time working with her and she was lovely, so easy going and so talented. She is the reason this blog post is even titled Dreamy!
Joanna and Greg were so sweet to work with! Another couple that used me for my Style Services as I worked closely with them on all the details such as bridesmaids dress color, linen choice and color, lace topper, colored lace detail on the seating cards, table numbers, etc etc I remember walking into the Pine Orchard Yacht Club with the flowers and hearing a gasp from the staff…not only because these centerpieces were.to.die.for but because it was an ‘Aha’ moment as they saw everything come together and make sense. I will let the photos from the very talented Sean and Micheal from millimeter photo not only show you the details but the love and happiness that they captured from Joanna and Greg that day. Joanna was prettied up even more than normal by the fabulous Maria Licari! PERFECTION!
Remember that magical wedding you dreamed of when you were little? Well, this is it!
Lisa and Justin’s wedding has all the luxuries of a fairytale wedding……draping chandelier crystals, cut out lace wedding day paper, the most elegant white and champagne florals, a white dance floor that makes you feel like your skating, Jimmy Choo shoes, an Ines Di Santos gown, Armani tuxedos…..and in a Castle to boot!
OHEKA Castle is a Gold Coast Mansion that transports you to a chateaux in France. It’s a popular backdrop for all types of media; in 1941, the motion picture Citizen Cane featuring Orson Welles was filmed here and more recent, Taylor Swift’s Black Space music video.
We aren’t the only ones that think this wedding is special…so does Grace Ormonde! That’s right! Lisa and Justin’s wedding graced the pages of Grace Ormonde’s Wedding Style Magazine Website and you can see it HERE!
There are simply now words that can describe this Glamorous wedding better than the images from Jaylim Studios.

What do you do when the sweetest bride ever! tells you she bought her fiance an Orange, Raspberry, Deep Purple and Bright Green bow tie and wants her wedding to be that color story….and using summer-like flowers for her ‘Fall” wedding…? Well, if you’re me, you say ‘Hell yeah, that’s awesome, let’s do it!’ So…we did it and turned out to be one of the best color combinations and floral varieties I’ve designed in a long time. What most people don’t know is that towards the end of wedding season and autumn many flowers become unavailable and the inventory of unique, colorful flowers can be very limited. This is where hiring an experienced designer can benefit you due to the years of connections they have with suppliers as well as knowledge of what can be in season in other countries, etc I’ll spare you the behind the scenes details and just show you what I’m talking about……
Loved how these colors really brightened up the ballrooms at The New Haven Lawn Club
A HUGE thanks to Kathy at Simply K Studios for not only taking these INCREDIBLE photos but for allowing me to show them off to every bride that may want something a little different…something bright and elegant….something so colorful that it transforms a room and a venue! Thank you!
Merrin and Gabe came to me with some GREAT ideas but needed my experience and talent to bring it all to life! I’ve recently created another division of my Floral Design Experience called ‘Design Coordination’ which you can read more about HERE, which allows you to be able to sit back and relax and let me execute the vision above and beyond the flowers. This level of planning works great when my clients have extremely busy schedules or are from out of state…or in Merrin and Gabe’s case out of the country and living in London! Merrin wanted a Bohemian flair on the tables and the underlying theme was Ikat patterns on her fabric and paper, so, with the help of my mother (where my creative genes come from) we not only found some great eclectic fabrics to incorporate into her decor but we took it up a notch and hand made the guest Table Top Linens, as well as Merrin and Gabe’s chair covers, along with runners for the seating card table and toppers for the cocktail tables. When I saw her invitations and menus I was astounded that the fabrics I chose for her tables were the exact pattern she chose for her paper! It all came together elegantly with pops of Hot Pink and Gold with accents of driftwood, succulents and mercury glass. This wedding was a TRUE partnership…so much so that I just received an email from Merrin stating that I have inspired her to make a career change to become an Interior Designer! If that’s not flattering, I don’t know what is!
HUGE thanks to:
Christine at Piece of Cake Weddings for introducing me to Merrin and Gabe
Eric at be creative Photography for taking such fabulous pictures. You wouldn’t have known by looking that there were torrential downpours all day.
Maggie at The Wee Burn Beach Club of Darien for being so fantastic with my team and I and on point with their inclement weather plan
Ashley at A Little Something White Bridal Couture for Merrin’s incredible dress

Have flowers, will travel!! Destination weddings are the new trend! And if you just happen to fall in love with US, even though we’re not located in the state that you’re getting married…NO PROBLEM!
We are at the forefront of this trend, as you can imagine, being a destination florist is not an easy task. It takes years of experience to know how flowers behave, which ones can make the journey arranged or have to be designed on site, what materials work best….in some cases, we will use a local floral market or wholesaler that is located in the destination state. Of course, it also takes a talented TEAM!
We have been very lucky to be the “traveling wedding florist” for a few years now. However, 2013 was the busiest destination year as we have been to Long Island, Manhattan, Cape Cod, Maine (yes, a 9 hour drive to Maine…last town before the Canadian border!) and of course, Newport, Rhode Island!
Which brings me to the awesomeness of Irina and Ben! Oh, how I miss planning with them! Just so fun, easy going, trusting, stylish, charming, sweet…..I can go on and on….
Irina’s vision was simple yet fantastic! She and Ben wanted their ceremony to be understated (sometimes it’s better to just leave it to mother nature, as you’ll soon see) and wanted their reception to be romantic and magical with TONS of candlelight.
Newport itself can be magical…having and event at Castle Hill Inn even more magical. The scenery is breathtaking and you can’t help but be in a good mood. This was one of my favorite installations yet! Think about it….a beautiful summer day, setting up with the ocean and cliffs right there, boats sailing, and everyone smiling……love my job!
Here are the beautiful photos by the ever-so talented Kevin Trimmer who was super fun to work with…a perfect match for Irina and Ben!
Before you see all the details of their wedding, I HAVE to show you how great my job truly is. Although most bride’s react this way when they see my bouquets (he he) Irina’s reaction was amazing!!!!
The bee was not harmed during the filming of this bouquet……
That’s me helping a flower girl out
Just because you have 30 people on your guest list doesn’t mean that you have to decorate any less than a large wedding!
And that’s what Kim and Mark did…they wanted flowers and plants to bring their wedding to life…to accent the best day of their lives!
Loving the crisp color story of green – yellow- white…using tons of natural elements such as wood slabs, plants, succulents, clay vessels, moss, burlap…paired with the elegance of lace and mercury glass…and the fun-ness (yes, that’s a word) of paper fans, topiari escort cards, heart garlands, lanterns, extra large table numbers and custom moss lanterns….this made for one of my favorite weddings of all times!!!
This wouldn’t have been a match made in heaven if it wasn’t for Christine from Piece of Cake Events! I swear, she pairs me up with my floral soul mates!
First time working with Russell Morin Fine Catering…Arolin was awesome to work with!
Iris Photography captured not only my details and floral art, but the fun-loving couple during their very intimate affair. It really was the perfect wedding!
I was so excited when The Aquarium asked me to create designs for their Silver Anniversary that was themed ” Cirque De La Mer – Argentum!” The color story was black, silver and purple and the theme to be Futuristic and Circus-like. For anyone who knows me as an artist knows that this is my kind a event! Of course, this was their annual gala to celebrate their anniversary as well as to raise money for the aquarium…so budget was a big part of the creations. In order to design centerpieces that would be true to the theme/color story and to the level of design that both myself and the aquarium are accustomed to, I had to get very creative for all 40 tables!!!! One of things that helped with costs were hand making all of the silver spheres….I can’t give all my secrets away but I can tell you that balloons and silver spray paint were involved in the making of over 100 of those suckers! I wish I could say that no balloons were harmed in the making, but sadly, they were.
Okay, Okay, enough of the cheesiness…take a look at the most incredible night for the Norwalk Maritime Aquarium…..Not only did Governor Malloy make a presence but you may see that a mermaid and tree-lady showed up as well…Have fun viewing my creations!
All Photos taken by Misty Enright Photography
The Governor…whether you like him or not….it’s pretty cool he was at one of my events!
