Maria’s New England Wedding

Maria’s wedding is typical Organic – Earthy – Crunchy- New England styled wedding! So much so, it was featured in a high end coffee table book, The Art of Celebration – New England!

Maria had a true vision of her theme and together with Ambiance {chic} Wedding Designs, we were able to create her dream wedding!  Maria gathered some of the containers and elements herself;  Grandma’s vase made it’s debut, hob nail vessels were found at antique shops all along the New England shore, galvanized pales, birch stumps, and of course her obsession…. birds, birds and birds…and feathers!! We had fun marrying it all together with our creative additions.

The paper accents, designed by Admire Designs, really made the event intimate and tied everything together like a big YELLOW bow!

The Art of Celebration – New England

We have some BIG NEWS!  We were featured in a very prestigious coffee table book that consists of the top 5% wedding and event professionals in the industry!  We are very grateful to Erica Kates from Ambiance {chic} Wedding Designs and Michelle Wade from Michelle Wade Photography for choosing our weddings to publish!

You can view our weddings on Pages 64 – 67 and 361 on a preview of the book viewed here on Panache’s website.

There are a few surprises in the book…Queen Latifa and Jennifer Hudson!  REALLY!  We are in the SAME book as these very talented ladies!

The book is available at Barnes and Nobles, Amazon.com, and Borders.

Tented Garden Wedding

Tina and Brendan loved their home in the Litchfield Hills and thought it would be the perfect place for a garden themed reception…and it was!  Not only was the local personal to them, but they had fun going to tag sales and flea markets to find the perfect country-garden containers for their centerpieces and accent creations decorated around their property.  Sometimes when you let couples loose to gather their own containers, you can end up with really bazaar items…as you’ll soon see!  It all came together beautifully, though.

I not only used garden flowers and locally farm grown flowers; most of the accent containers were filled with blooming plants!  So much fun!  Centerpieces were different on every table and were a mix of flowers and plants designed in gently used tag sale containers such as wooden boxes, vintage glass, galvanized pots, etc  All to create the perfect garden centerpiece.

Enchanted Forest Wedding

There are many different types of Enchanted Forest themes, but this wedding takes the cake! (no pun intended) Everything you could imagine an enchanted forest would have, was included….but without going too far.

Since a forest can contain various elements, we decided to run wild with a collection of different accents to capture the concept.  There were 3 styles of centerpieces: an enchanted tree, a bowl filled with flowers and butterflies and a floral arrangement designed in a moss container.  All centerpieces were surrounded my moss rocks, colorful gems and votive candles decorated in peacock feathers. Peacock feathers accented the bride’s bouquet, shoes, hair, etc; real butterflies sealed the kiss(none were hurt in the process); flower girls were fairies with the most gorgeous wings you’ve ever seen; the ring bearer held a lily pad with frog moss pillow…..and so much more…..we will let the pictures show you the rest!
….but you’ll have to wait just a little bit more because I have to talk
about the amazing people that were involved in this wedding….
KELLY and ROB, aka the bride and groom: they were the best couple EVER! I was so happy to be able to create Kelly’s vision, which was a challenge because she was so devoted to every aspect of every detail. She deserves every picture perfect moment, as you’ll soon see.
Erica at Ambiance {chic} Wedding Designs came through again with such a great wedding and couple. She and her team took such good care of those butterflies!Lol
Fox Hill Inn, Brookfield, CT; Rosa is the best! Easy to work with and very accommodating.

Adrienne at Admire Design captured the vision in the escort cards, menus and table numbers.

Wedding getting National Exposure!

Andrew and Jeremy’s wedding was FABULOUS!  They collected tons…and when I say tons, I mean TONS….of vintage flea market specials that I had to make sense of.  Every table a different theme and better from the last.

Their wedding was so Fabulous, in fact, after being featured in the 2010 Winter Issue of MARTHA STEWART WEDDING Magazine, it is now being featured on websites all over the country!!!!

Cake and Pictures Is a great resource for the best photographers in the world.  They featured Andrew and Jeremy’s wedding planner and of course, she talked about CFC.

Fire and Ice Party

I’m not the kind of person to throw a party for myself, but, I did! ….and boy was it a great time!

My friend Erica, the owner of Ambiance {chic} Wedding Designs(it was really her idea!), and I thought it would be fun to celebrate the fact that one of our weddings we designed together was featured in Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine.  We had also just revamped our websites and wanted to show them off!

In the wedding industry you work with so many vendors every weekend, but it’s always just business.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve worked with the same photographer, but we’ve never spoken to each other about anything other than the wedding we had been working on together.  So we thought it would be a great idea to invite all the people we love to work with within the wedding industry as well as family and friends.

We had a wonderful turnout!  Even though the loft was filled with photographers, coordinators, videographers, florists, bakers, etc  There wasn’t much wedding talk.  It was such a great night to just get to know these people I’ve known for years…if you get my drift. Networking usually is so boring, but we made it fun!

Erica took care of the designing the email invite, linens, lighting, the music, etc While, I had a blast designing the centerpieces.  Remember the winter party was called “Fire and Ice”.  So the “fire”part of our vision was to use a lot of candles, but we wanted to be creative about it.  Some candles were floating in water with ice chips at the bottom of the candle holder, while I rolled other glass candle holders in actual sugar so they would have a frosted look. We even embellished plain glass hanging candle holders by adorning them with chandelier crystals and hung them from silver wire.

I love the look of various size and shaped glass vases and candle holders….but then love to mix up floating candles, floating flowers, and single flowers in the vases.  I like doing this because it keeps people looking all night!

For the “Ice” feel, we used accents of fake snow( which I learned is very versatile!), chandelier crystals, crystal garlands, iced birch branches, and my favorite accent…a rhinestone in the center of a rose.  We only used white hydrangea and roses so that all the other accents could really shine through!

We use two different height centerpieces, again, it keeps the eye moving around the room and I couldn’t decide on which centerpiece to design…so I used them both!  That was the fun part about designing for my own party…I could REALLY do whatever I wanted!

I won’t bore you with anymore details……let the pictures finish the story….Enjoy!

Candi’s Floral Creations featured in Martha Stewart

Candi’s Floral Creations and Ambiance {Chic} Wedding Designs are very excited to have a wedding be featured in Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine in this December issue. The issue is to be Martha’s 15th anniversary and get this…the very first same sex wedding featured!!

Andrew and Jeremy found me through an amazing wedding planner, Erica for Ambiance {Chic} Wedding Designs. They were rather fun and eccentric with what they envisioned for their decor.

One would call it Vintage – Americana. A.K.A: gathering anything old that was American at flea markets and tag sales and turn it into a theme for your guest tables. Well, wouldn’t ya know, it worked and turned out better than anyone ever expected!

They were so thrilled with what Erica and I had done with their ideas, that they went ahead and submitted their wedding to MSW and the rest is history….

I hope you can pick up a copy and enjoy the article!

The fabulous photos were taken by Jacklyn from JAGstudios, she did an awesome job of capturing every detail and make it come to life!
